My Photo
Raleigh, NC, United States
I first became interested in Stained Glass in the mid 90's. I started my Stained Glass business in Hawaii in 2004 and continued after relocating to North Carolina in 2005. In 2008, moving to Raleigh would take me away from my passion for a few years. Now that we are in the last quarter of 2011, I realize just how busy this year has been! I feel very fortunate and look forward to 2012! Updated November 2011: Excited to announce that I am now an "Official Hobbyist of the USMC, License number #41108."

Turtle (Honu) at Sea

I have been so busy lately I have not blogged anything in a long time!  Hopefully you have been able to keep up with me on Facebook and twitter!  As with everyone this is just a crazy - fun time of year!
I have been busy filling Christmas orders - which I am very happy about.  :-)  I am currently working on a Turtle.  This particular design happens to be one of my first custom designs I originally designed back in 2004 for a friend of mine at the time when I was stationed in Hawaii.  I still love this design and look forward to revealing the finished peace to the customer!

Happy Holidays!

Marine Corps - Eagle, Globe, and Anchor Stained Glass

Official Hobbyist of the USMC!!
What does this mean? A license number issued by the Marine Corps Trademark Office now permits me to sell my Marine Corps - Eagle, Globe, and Anchor Stained Glass panels.

I redesigned the Eagle, Globe, and Anchor panel to include a blue border and also updated the colors of the globe a little too!  The finished piece measures approximately 20" x 22".

A little North Carolina History

16" x 20"
Cardinal with Dogwood Blossoms
The Cardinal is North Carolina's State Bird and the American Dogwood is the State Flower. It was a few years ago when someone first requested this custom design.  I only made one, and while it looked great I knew it needed to be re-worked.  Now that I have redesigned it with the Glass Eye program I am planning to make the piece a little larger and with the addition of a border.
Good rainy day project!

Service Star Banners

Service Star Banners
This order of Service Star Banners is finally completed and on it's way to Quantico, Virginia after a few (well . . . three to be exact) . . . mishaps.  If the picture looks a little funny it is because at the 11th hour after everything was all assembled, cleaned, polished, tagged and photographed - I remembered I needed to attach chains to each banner for hanging.  Long story short, I knocked a One Star Banner off of the table and broke it and had to make another one.  rrrrrrrr   So you see, even the stained glass artist breaks glass sometimes.   Have a great day!  Dana Lin

A New Color Combo

Stained Glass Tulip Nightlight

I love it when a customer requests color combinations that I would not usually think of.  This pink and blue look awesome together.  And it looks so different during the day and at night.  I hope she likes it as much as I d0!
